Winter Song.

Hey guys,

so it has been a while since we have last blogged. Seems we are bad at keeping things up to date.
I will try to tell you all what has been going on the past few months, and what we all experienced!

We launched our debut album "We Now Dream In Colour" on the 5th of March, and it was a great success! We felt really privileged and blessed to have so many of the people we love around us. We played with now "glam" band, Pity The Fool, and noise-makers The City Is The Desert ( In Disguise), the latter who has now taken a break since they moved to the US. It was great!

So, since our launch we have played a few shows, but not nearly as much as we want to. I spoke about this on our interview on TuksFM, and I will say it again; the little 'clicks' in the South African music industry is sickening, and that includes the little hipster circles. But, enough of that!

We played at Tings an' Times on Thursday with two great new bands from Cape Town; Holiday Murray and La Vi. Be sure to check them out!

We are doing a show at !Arcade Empire now on Friday, the 6th of May, and we can't be more excited! We decided to strip this particular show of drums and guitars, so you can expect some fat beats and Dubstep-mockery. Whop-whop-whop-whop.

Totally unrelated, if you haven't got a hold of the new Radiohead album "King of Limbs" you should. It probably won't change you, and most Radiohead-purists will probably write this album off as bullshit, but in my totally unimportant opinion, it is the best release 2011 will see.

We are kind of floating between managements at the moment, not always too sure what is happening, so I have taken most of the responsibilities regarding that on myself. Dipping my toes into a big icy pool I really don't want to get into. We'll see how it plays out. From what I can gather, this business is all about tight pants, moustaches and buying each other drinks. I'm halfway there anyway.

We are also using Twitter on a more regular basis now, exploring all kinds of new forums for social networking, y'know.

That's about it. We did cool radio interviews, played acoustic sets, sold albums, and we are looking forward to the weeks that lie ahead! We will keep you updated, and remember to show each other love this winter!

Laters.
